Karan looked back down at the ground. "...Fine," she replied, still looking as if she was daydreaming. "I do." She scratched Houndoom's head again, wondering when she would be able to hold Memori or Coal once more.
Blinking, she remembered just how close the Quilava was to evolving. She would have to get an Everstone somewhere before that happened. She also thought of Blaze, the Cumbusken she had been trying to evolve; she knew sooner or later Flames would be ripped apart from not seeing her friend for so long.
"Do you know anything about getting away from here?" she asked, more worried about her starter now then much anything else.

Leo shook his head.
"The only thing I've been noticing is that when we were each sent we all appeared here in certain areas. Me in the Tower of Heaven for example. And I believe you appeared here?"
He closed his eyes as the vision of the stars were imprinted inside his eyelids.
"I have a feeling it has to do with something"
Luke's mouth gave a twitch of a grin as he listened in on this conversation.

Karan nodded, again looking over as if a horde of fire Pokemon were coming again. She wondered what would have happened if she had been killed; no beating the Eilte, no more Nuke, never seeing her family again, her Pokemon's distress...
"Leo, I'm really scared," she finally admitted, bring her knees to her chest and putting her forehead on them. Houndoom moved his head and put it on his paws. "I don't want to stay here forever. I want us to be able to go back. I don't know what I'll do if I have to stay here much longer."
Her fingers locked together then unlocked, over and over, as she grew more anxious. She knew she would start thinking of the worse things possible that could happen to her, or Leo, or Zach. She muttered to herself, closing her eyes. She could feel Flames' Pokeball hit her legs before hanging still from the hand-made necklace a freind had given her. So many things had happened at the Springs.

The trainer was quiet for a long time, trying to remember every meeting she had had with Leo. It was hard for her to do, so she just had to take what she knew. "No, I don't believe you have." She raised her head slightly to give a faint smile to Leo before her emerald gaze shifted to his Pokemon. She raised an eyebrow at the snore and looked back at Leo.
"Can you please tell me how you can be so calm?" Karan asked, raising her head a bit more to rest her chin on her knees. "I could really use it while we're here. And I would love to teach it to Ziggy and Wave."

"I don't want to be like you," she said, then catching herself, added with a slight blush, "I mean, I only wanted to learn that-- No, I don't want to be like anyone-- I just-- Oh jeeze." She hid her face again on her knees, feeling very embarrassed. That must've sounded very rude; she knew she wouldn't have liked it if someone had said that so bluntly.
Karan told Leo in a muffled voice a few seconds later, "Sorry. I didn't mean it like anything mean." She then fell quiet and began to wonder what her friend had gone through. He never seemed to like giving details. He hardly even seemed to talk about his past to her. The trainer focused on a part of her jeans, starting to wonder how one part could be faded while the other was still a dark blue.

Leo gave Karan a rare smile.
"No worries, I understand"
He said, closing his eyes yet again and taking in some fresh air.
"But since I am so calm because of being experience in such horrible things.. there is nothing I can do but assure you that we will be out of here soon.
Luke lifted his head and gave Karan an assuring nod before laying it back down and staring at the sky.

"Mmm." Karan gave a little noise as if agreeing; she reached up and pulled Flames' Pokeball off her string, gripping the small item in her hand. She didn't really want to send the Starter out, so holding the Pokeball itself helped her calm down.
She again raised her head to rest on her knees, rolling the now inlarged Pokeball between her fingers, wondering what Nuke was doing at the moment. And where was Zach anyway? Was anyone else here?
The 'Morph glanced up at her friend, still quiet. The conversation had hit a stand still once again, and she had no idea of what to say. So she just kept staring at him, the ball rolling lazily between her fingers, Houndoom watching with boredom.

"Really?" Karan sat up once more, the ball pausing in her left hand. She was happy that there were more of them, but at the same time sad, or angry. Why should others be sent? She growled softly to herself, leaning back on the rock with a slouch.
Looking over, she noted how Blaziken looked, and thought quickly. He hadn't looked sad moments before. Houndoom snorted, closing his eyes. He knew what Karan was thinking, and wasn't very excited about a currently over protective starter coming out her ball.
"Blaziken, do you want me to let Flames out?" she asked, glancing from her Starter's ball to the Blaziken sitting out already. "I'll let her out if you do. I don't mind really," she added with a small smile, though she couldn't be sure if Flames would mind or not.

Blaziken's eyes widened as he was discovered looking at the pokeball. He looked away quickly in an attempt not to be noticed further but it was too late.
Slowly looking back at Karan and returning her smile a bit forcidly in all the embarassment he turned his attention to Leo.
Without even looking at the scene, for his eyes had been closed, Leo nodded.
Luke looked up at his Partner and gave the Fire fowl a HUGE grin, laughing on the inside at Blaziken's spotlight.
Blaziken leapt down from the stone, landing his talloned foot on Luke's stomach before stepping forward off his partner.
Luke made a bit of an "oof" noise before shooting a dirty look at Blaziken as the bird gave Karan a nod.
Leo, a bit bored of this spoke up to continue the discussion.
"Would you like to hear my theory?"
He asked Karan in hopes that some information would calm her down further.

Smiling with slight amusment at the two Pokemon, Karan let the ball open and let her own Blaziken form. As soon as she was out, Flames's hands were blazing wildly and she gazed around, already looking as though she was ready to jump at anything that moved. Finally relising nothing but Leo and his Pokemon were there, she looked back at her trainer with a soft glare.
<I thought you said you would only let me out if you were being attacked> she said, her hands going back to normal.
Smirking some, the 'Morph replied, "I know, I know. But Leo's Blaziken wanted you out."
The elder Blaziken crossed her arms stubbornly and looked back at the other, as if expecting him to do something.
Nodding, Karan turned back to Leo. "Yes, I would. What is it?"

Blaziken looked taken aback as if Karan had betrayed him by pointing him out.
He never had a planned on doing anything, he just wanted to see how far the pokemon had progressed.
"Hello Flames"
Leo said, opening his eyes and saving his Blaziken from the staring eyes.
"Nice to see you again"
Leo's deep green eyes focussed on the Female Fire Fowl Fighter (say that 5 times fast xD)
Afterwards, he turned to Karan and began.
"I have a feeling there is trouble back in the real Torrenta."
He looked into her Emerald eyes.
"Whoever isn't on the side of the person causing the trouble is being sent here, out of the way"
He looked away, closing his eyes again.
"The feeling I'm having that we'll all be out soon must mean that something's gone wrong in this troublemaker's plans."
Luke got up, and put his face in front of Flames with a grin and lifted his hand up in a motionless wave, closing his eyes so his face was in a ^^ position.
